Our long-time friends, Deb and Rhett Bigham, came to visit us for a few days and we had a blast showing them around. I picked them up in Barcelona while sporting my new look (eurotrash) and they were duly impressed. We took them to some our favorite places, many of which you've already read about but it was fun seeing them again through Rhett and Deb. We went to some new places, as well. The monastaries of Montsant and Santas Creus are fabulous and there are some good pictures published below.
Although we've been eating well here, we've had better than usual luck in restaurants. Restaurants here can be more than a little uneven. Susan is such a great cook that we haven't eaten out much until recently. I've included a few food pictures that tell the story.
My wines are doing well. The new barrels were delivered last week and we'll fill them tomorrow. Paula and Paul arrived just as Deb and Rhett were leaving so we've been seeing the sights pretty much non-stop. All of our guests have been very understanding of my work and the chasing around that goes with it. It's hard to believe we've only got a week left since there's so much left to do.
